Wiring diagram/pin-outs for head unit

Wire colour codes

Battery 12V Constant - Blue/Red

Accessories 12V Switched - Yellow/Green

Earth - Black

Illumination - Purple

Auto Antennae - Blue/White


Speakers

Front Right - White/Black
Front Right + Red/Yellow

Front Left - Green
Front Left + Brown/White

Rear Right - Blue/Yellow
Rear Right + Red/White

Rear Left - Red/Black
Rear Left + White/Red

Hmm Pete ive been lookin at my wiring on my 01 foz and the colour codes dont match these ones you have.

Hi Russ,

What colours don't match?? From what I can gather the colours match up to the '01 service manual wiring diagram, and the only thing I can see is that the polarity on the rear speakers might be crossed over, and that illumination - is not shown, which is Orange/white.

I assume you are looking at the connector on the loom that plugs into the head unit?

Hey Pete, does it go into further detail of the internal wiring?

I'm toying with opening it up and soldering in an AUX line to the tape pick up.

After i installed my new head unit (Alpine), its heaps fuzzy wen i listen the radio. What do you rekon could be the problem?

Hi,

AFAIK the 07 has the antenna amplifier so you will need to have this connected to get good reception.
