Alright someone suggested to do a build thread so i may as well get something going so i can keep track of the fun I have had with this car.
I wont be doing anything outlandish to my ride just simple-ish mods
I enjoy working with my cars I started with my first car a 2000 Toyota Hilux taught me a lot to do with wiring (threw in central locking, electric window kit and all that)
Anyway picked up this SH9 2009 MY10 in late August 2012

If you can't get the cf door mirrors, why not just wrap them in cf vinyl? Might look cool if you decide to cf wrap the for handles too. I've discovered that the painted door handles fade color much faster than the paint on the rest of the exterior lol

It's looking good mate!

I was thinking of that stuff but does it look any good? Comparable to the real thing? Do you use a heat gun to conform it to the cover? Lol

If you buy the good stuff (3M 1080p scotchguard or Hexic) then it definitely looks like the real dry carbon fibre. (lasts 4 years apparently)

Wrapping it can be a bit tricky, I've been toying aroudn with it on some of my interior trim. Patience, a heat gun and a squigee are really the only other things u need. (having said that, the curves on the side mirrors would make it considerably harder to wrap....) i think you can get it professionally wrapped for about $100 for both.

and thanks for the ideas! I'm going to go black out my headlights too, but yeah seems tough, baking it, gluing it etc etc
